Written in real-time, I returned to a song I wrote years ago about being in love while knowing it wouldn't last because...well, I am me after all, and replaced the lyrics with an ode to getting over that ex and the desire to feel something real again. Although comical and light, the foundation of the song is quite sad and existential.
